The Old English Sheepdog is believed to have evolved from the Bearded Collie in the 19th century.
In order to be exempt from English taxes the long haired luxury dog only qualified as a working dog if it had its tail docked, this why the farmers docked their tails.
They make lovably and docile pets; in maturity they are not as boisterous as young puppies.
They are adaptable and easy to train.

Grooming- regular grooming is a must. You can have the coat clipped to make it move manageable. Wash when needed.

Exercise- regular exercise will keep them fit and happy.
